PoliticalNews.me - Jul 07,2011 - Salt Lake City - Utah’s Department of Workforce Services (DWS) Executive Director, Kristen Cox has received the “UI Integrity Award” from the National Foundation for Unemployment Compensation and Workers' Compensation for its work in streamlining its Unemployment Insurance Program.
The integrity award is given to an individual who has demonstrated the commitment to preserving the Unemployment system. Utah is recognized as one of the leading states in the nation for administering the Unemployment Insurance Program. The award was presented at the Foundation’s 30th Annual National Conference in St. Louis on Wednesday, June 29, 2011.
“I am very pleased to receive this award which recognizes the innovative processes implemented in Utah to streamline services,” said Kristen Cox. “This award is a testament to the outstanding efforts of every individual working in our Unemployment Insurance Division and proves that Utah continues to lead the way in driving innovation and improving service delivery.”
The National Foundation for Unemployment Compensation and Workers’ Compensation was founded in 1984 and helps individuals from industry, government, associations and other professions, gain a keen understanding of the nation's Unemployment Insurance and Workers Compensation laws. Located in Washington, DC, the Foundation serves an important and vital role in researching and reporting on changes to policy in these important areas.
