Investment Expected to Create 800 New Jobs
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Rob Portman (R-Ohio) applauded the announcement that Fuyao Automotive has chosen Moraine, Ohio as the location for their new U.S. automotive glass manufacturing facility, a move that is expected to create 800 new jobs.
Portman met with Cao Dewang, Founder & Chairman of Fuyao Automotive North America Inc., in October 2013 to talk about the investment opportunity and encourage selection of Moraine as Fuyao’s new manufacturing facility.
“This exciting announcement is a testament to the talented and skilled workforce in the Dayton region,” Portman said. “I was pleased to have the opportunity to meet with company officials and help encourage their selection of Moraine. Southwest Ohio is a major center for the automobile industry, and this investment helps the region continue a proud tradition in auto manufacturing.”
Rob Portman is a United States Senator from the state of Ohio. He was elected in 2010, running a campaign that focused on common-sense conservative ideas to help create jobs and get the deficit under control. Rob won with a margin of 57 to 39 percent, winning 82 of Ohio's 88 counties.
