PoliticalNews.me - Jul 11,2012 - The Gulf Coast Chapter of the Florida Police Benevolent Association has endorsed Republican candidate Heather Fitzenhagen for the Florida House of Representatives, District 78. The association represents members in Lee, Collier and Hendry counties and was founded in 1972 to provide Florida's law enforcement and corrections officers with a strong voice before the state legislative and local government, and to protect Florida's law enforcement and corrections officers’ salaries, pensions and working conditions. Statewide, the association has more than 36,000 members.
“Heather has shown her support of the law enforcement community and will undoubtedly serve the public well in office,” says PBA Executive Director Matt Pucket. “We encourage our members, their families and all voters to elect her to office as our District 78 representative.”
“I am deeply honored to have the endorsement of the association, which works so hard to improve working conditions for all of our law enforcement officers that keep our community safe for residents and tourists,” said Fitzenhagen.
