INDIANAPOLIS- "We're lucky to have Dick Lugar and we need to keep him" Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels tells fellow Hoosier Republicans in a new TV spot out.
In his second statewide commercial for Lugar, the popular two-term governor focuses on Lugar's leadership on issues plaguing America.
Lugar Leads on Jobs, Debt, Energy, National Security
"Our nation faces huge dangers, and it will take people with his big-picture vision and broad respect to see us past them," Daniels says. "From economic stagnation, to dangers of debt, our energy opportunities, our national security threats - he sees them all clearly and how they relate to each other. There are so few who do." Lugar is author of new private-sector jobs and farm plans, co-sponsor of the Balanced Budget Amendment, champion of the Keystone XL pipeline and namesake of the Nunn-Lugar program dismantling the former U.S.S.R.'s warheads.
Daniels includes a refrain from last week's ad, "I'm not for Dick Lugar because of what he's done, but because of what he can do."
